1. About Fintactix Products

Fintactix, LLC develops and licenses digital financial tools and educational content to banks, credit unions, and other financial institutions (“Licensees”) for use on their websites. Our products are hosted by Fintactix and typically displayed within Licensee websites via embedded frames (iframes). Fintactix’s product portfolio includes the following:

Financial Calculators (“Calculators”)

Interactive tools that allow users to perform financial calculations—such as loan payments, savings projections, retirement planning, and debt management—using hypothetical or user-supplied inputs. Calculators produce illustrative, educational results and do not present actual product offers from any financial institution.

Financial Navigators (“Navigators”)

Guided decision-making tools that collect financial information from the user and present actual product offers or recommendations from the Licensee. Navigators may cover a range of banking and financial products, including but not limited to mortgage loans, vehicle loans, home equity products, deposit accounts, and retirement accounts. Unlike Calculators, Navigator results reflect real product details configured by the Licensee—such as rates, terms, fees, and features. Navigators may include the ability to save and retrieve results, request contact from the Licensee, or apply for a product directly.

AdviceSite (“Content”)

Educational articles and resources on personal and business finance topics, licensed to Licensees for display on their websites.

Throughout this document, “Products” or “Tools” refers collectively to Calculators, Navigators, and Content unless a specific product is named. “You” and “your” refers to any individual accessing or using Fintactix Products through a Licensee’s website or through fintactix.com directly.

2. Disclaimer and Limitations

Financial Calculators and AdviceSite Content

The information provided by Calculators and Content is for illustrative and educational purposes only. Default figures and examples shown are hypothetical and may not be applicable to your individual situation. Be sure to consult a financial professional prior to relying on the results or recommendations produced by Fintactix Calculators or Content. Calculated results are intended for illustrative purposes only and accuracy is not guaranteed.

Financial Navigators

Navigators present product information configured by the Licensee, which may include actual rates, terms, fees, features, and estimated costs or returns. While Fintactix endeavors to display this information accurately, the offers shown are subject to change and are governed by the Licensee’s own eligibility criteria, terms, and conditions. Navigator results do not constitute a commitment to lend, an account approval, a pre-qualification, or a guarantee of any specific rate, term, or product feature. Actual product terms will be determined by the Licensee upon formal application and may differ from the estimates shown in the Navigator. You should review and rely upon the Licensee’s own disclosures and application materials before making any financial decision.

General

All Products are provided “AS IS” and on an “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Fintactix does not guarantee error-free information, uninterrupted availability, the security of this service or of any stored data, or that any information, software, or other material accessible from or related to the Products is free of viruses, worms, or other harmful components.

Fintactix, LLC and its licensors are the sole and exclusive owners of all right, title, and interest, including trademarks, copyrights, patents, trade names, trade secrets, and other intellectual property rights, in the Products. You may not copy, display, link to, modify, adapt, reproduce, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, sublicense, or assign any aspect of the Products without express license from Fintactix, LLC.

3. Digital Privacy Disclosure

Your privacy is important to us. This Digital Privacy Disclosure describes our practices for collecting, sharing, using, maintaining, and protecting information when you use Fintactix Products. Fintactix’s digital services are intended for use by consumers within the United States.

3.1 Financial Calculators — Data Practices

Our Calculators do not collect, transmit, or store the values you enter or the results they produce. All calculations are performed locally in your web browser. No financial inputs leave your device as a result of using a Calculator, with the following exception:

Email and contact forms. Some Calculators include optional web forms that allow you to email yourself a copy of your results or to submit a contact request to the Licensee. When you choose to submit one of these forms, the information you provide (which may include your name, email address, phone number, and calculator results) is securely transmitted to and stored by Fintactix. This information is also shared with the Licensee on whose website you used the Calculator. Use of the information shared with the Licensee is governed by their privacy policy.

With the exception of web form submissions, Fintactix does not use, disclose, sell, market, or otherwise distribute any information you enter into a Calculator.

3.2 Financial Navigators — Data Practices

Navigators collect and process more information than Calculators because they are designed to present personalized product offers. This section describes what data is collected, how it is used, and who has access to it.

3.2.1 Information you provide

When you use a Navigator, you may enter financial information such as:

  • Desired product amount, term, or type (e.g. loan amount, deposit amount, contribution level)
  • Credit score range or credit tier
  • Annual income, monthly debts, or other financial profile information
  • Property type, property value, and occupancy status (for real estate products)
  • Down payment or initial deposit amount
  • Vehicle type and purchase price (for auto products)
  • Investment goals, risk tolerance, or time horizon (for savings and retirement products)
  • Your name, email address, and phone number (only when you use the Save, Contact, or Apply features)

This information is used to generate and display product offers or recommendations that match your inputs. The specific fields collected vary by Navigator type.

3.2.2 How your financial inputs are processed

Generating results. Your financial inputs are processed by the Navigator to match you with available products. This processing occurs on Fintactix’s servers.

Analytics and product improvement. Fintactix may collect aggregated, de-identified usage data from Navigator sessions to understand how the tools are used, to measure product performance, and to improve our services. The level of detail collected depends on how the Licensee has configured their Navigator deployment:

  • Standard configuration. Only event-level metadata is collected—such as which Navigator was used, how far through the process you progressed, which offers were displayed, and general device and traffic information. No financial input values are recorded.
  • Enhanced analytics (Licensee opt-in). If the Licensee has enabled enhanced analytics, your financial inputs may be recorded in aggregate ranges (for example, an amount of $275,000 would be recorded as “$200,000–$300,000” rather than the exact amount). This enables the Licensee to understand demand patterns and user profiles without storing precise financial details.
  • Detailed analytics (Licensee opt-in with data processing agreement). If the Licensee has specifically opted in and executed a data processing agreement with Fintactix, your exact financial inputs may be stored for the Licensee’s internal reporting purposes. Even in this configuration, your name, email address, phone number, and other directly identifying information are never included in analytics data.
Regardless of the Licensee’s analytics configuration, Fintactix never sells, markets, or distributes your financial inputs to third parties for their own commercial purposes.

3.2.3 Save and Retrieve

Some Navigators allow you to save your results so you can return to them later. When you use this feature:

  • Your financial inputs, the product offers or recommendations shown to you, and a unique retrieval code are stored on Fintactix’s servers.
  • If you provide an email address, your retrieval code is sent to that address. Your email address is stored alongside your saved session and is shared with the Licensee.
  • Saved sessions are retained for a limited period (typically 30–60 days) and are automatically deleted after that period unless otherwise specified by the Licensee.
  • You may request deletion of a saved session at any time by contacting Fintactix at the address provided below.

3.2.4 Apply and Contact

When you click “Apply Now” or a similar call-to-action on a product offer, you may be directed to the Licensee’s own application or enrollment process. Fintactix records the fact that you clicked the action and which offer you selected, but does not collect or process any information you subsequently provide to the Licensee during their application. When you use a “Contact Me” feature, the information you provide (typically your name, phone number, and/or email) is transmitted to Fintactix and shared with the Licensee. Use of your contact information by the Licensee is governed by their privacy policy.

3.2.5 Information collected automatically

When you use a Navigator, Fintactix automatically collects certain technical information, including:

  • Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet) and browser type
  • Referral source and traffic attribution data (UTM parameters, referrer domain)
  • A one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address (your actual IP address is not stored)
  • A randomly generated session identifier (not linked to your identity)
  • Interaction events (pages viewed, buttons clicked, time spent) used to measure product performance

This information is used for product analytics, troubleshooting, and fraud prevention. It does not include your name, email address, phone number, or any financial input values (unless enhanced or detailed analytics has been enabled by the Licensee as described in Section 3.2.2).

3.3 Google Analytics

Fintactix uses Google Analytics 4 (“GA4”) to collect aggregated usage statistics for the fintactix.com website and for Fintactix Products when enabled by the Licensee. GA4 uses cookies and similar technologies to collect this information.

What is sent to Google Analytics

  • Categorical data such as navigator type, product category, rate preference, property type, and credit tier
  • Financial amounts converted to broad ranges (e.g. “$200,000–$300,000”), never exact dollar values
  • Boolean indicators (e.g. whether an email was provided—but not the email itself)
  • Offer identifiers and product provider names (institutional data, not personal)
  • Engagement signals (which step you reached, which features you used)

What is never sent to Google Analytics

  • Your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, or Social Security number
  • Exact income, debt, product amounts, property values, account balances, or payment figures
  • Retrieval codes or any identifier that could link your analytics data to your saved session
  • Any data that could be used to directly identify you as an individual

For more information about how Google collects and processes data, visit Google’s privacy policy. You may opt out of Google Analytics data collection by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

3.4 Data Sharing

Fintactix shares information with the following categories of recipients:

Licensees. When you submit a web form (save results, contact request, or email), the information you provide is shared with the Licensee on whose website you used the Product. Analytics data collected on behalf of a Licensee is accessible to that Licensee through Fintactix’s reporting tools or through the Licensee’s own Google Analytics property if GA4 integration is enabled.

Google. When GA4 is enabled, the privacy-filtered event data described in Section 3.3 is transmitted to Google’s servers for analytics processing. Google’s use of this data is governed by Google’s terms of service and privacy policy.

Service providers. Fintactix may use third-party service providers (such as cloud hosting and infrastructure providers) to operate its Products. These providers process data on Fintactix’s behalf and are contractually obligated to protect the confidentiality of any data they handle.

Law enforcement and legal process. Fintactix may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or if Fintactix believes in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Fintactix, its Licensees, or the public.

Fintactix does not sell your personal information to third parties as that term is defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or any other applicable privacy law.

3.5 Data Retention

Fintactix retains data for the following periods:

  • Analytics event data: Retained for up to one year (or as configured by the Licensee), then automatically deleted. Aggregated daily statistics (which cannot be linked to individual sessions) may be retained indefinitely for trend reporting.
  • Saved Navigator sessions: Retained for 30–60 days (or as configured by the Licensee), then automatically deleted.
  • Web form submissions (email, contact): Retained until the request is fulfilled and for a reasonable period thereafter for recordkeeping, or as required by applicable law.
  • Google Analytics data: Subject to Google’s own data retention policies and the retention settings configured in the Licensee’s GA4 property.

3.6 Security of Your Information

Fintactix implements administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information under its control. These measures include encryption of data in transit (TLS/HTTPS), access controls, and regular security assessments. Fintactix complies with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations regarding the security of customer data.

Retrieval codes for saved Navigator sessions are generated using high-entropy random values that cannot be guessed or enumerated. Fintactix continually evaluates and improves its security practices, including encryption of stored data.

4. Use on Financial Institution Websites

When you use Fintactix Products on the website of a bank, credit union, or other financial institution, you should be aware of the following:

Licensee privacy policies apply. The Licensee’s own privacy policy governs how they use information that you provide through Fintactix Products, including information shared with them through web form submissions, contact requests, and analytics data. Please review the Licensee’s privacy policy for details.

Federal financial privacy regulations. Banks, credit unions, and other depository institutions are subject to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) and related regulations, which govern the collection and use of nonpublic personal information. Financial information you enter into a Navigator on a financial institution’s website may be subject to that institution’s GLBA privacy notice and information-sharing practices. Fintactix acts as a service provider to the Licensee in this context and processes data in accordance with its contractual obligations to the Licensee.

Fintactix hosts these Products. Although you access Fintactix Products through the Licensee’s website, the Products are hosted on Fintactix’s servers and appear within the Licensee’s site via an embedded frame (iframe). Data you enter into a Fintactix Product is transmitted to Fintactix’s servers, not to the Licensee’s servers, unless you submit a form that explicitly shares information with the Licensee.

5. Your Privacy Rights

5.1 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you may have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

  • The right to request deletion of personal information Fintactix holds about you, subject to certain exceptions.
  • The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. Fintactix does not sell or share personal information as defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
  • The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.

To exercise these rights, please contact Fintactix using the information provided in Section 7 below. Fintactix will verify your identity before responding to any request.

5.2 European Union (EU) Data Subject Rights

The EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) provides certain rights to EU residents, including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, or port your personal data. Fintactix’s Products are intended for use within the United States, but to the extent GDPR applies, Fintactix will conform to its requirements. Please contact us using the information provided in Section 7 below.

5.3 Other State Privacy Laws
